Greek Isle of Delos

Delos is a Greek island and archaeological site in the Aegean Sea's Cyclades archipelago, near Mykonos. The mythological birthplace of Apollo, it was a major religious center and port during the 1st millennium B.C. The island's ruins encompass temples, markets, an amphitheater, houses with mosaics and the iconic Terrace of the Lions statues. The Archaeological Museum displays statues excavated from the site. Pulling up to park our boat. You need sand and a shelf to deploy the anchor. Delos from our boat.  All the statues have no arms and heads. Large Mosaic tile floors that are normally over cisterns for water storage. Some of the cisterns have collapsed from erosion. So many artifacts on the island. They're just stacked up.
