Mid-Atlantic Backroad Discovery Route MABDR

The BDR is a motorcycle route that goes from Damascus Virginia to the New York State border. Some of the travel is on two laneroads, while other is on Forest Service gravel roads. I started in Damascus which is a great little town the Appalachian trail goes through. You can see my bike on the right.  the Appalachian trail and the Mid-Atlantic BDR slowly meander back and forth through the country. I've met a couple guys that were hiking all the way non-stop.  This is a well photographed gap that is fun to go through.  Sceenic overlook that I turned around for.  This was taken off a dirt road. I stopped and took this photo and then a hiker appeared out of nowhere. She scared me pretty good.  First night camping. Hard to sleep when you don't have your favorite body pillow and covers. 

Headed Out To San Francisco, For A Labor Day Weekend Show

Heading out for nine days to check out the coolest city in the US. Somehow we blew through check-in by going to the TSA Pre check-in. We took MARTA down to the airport and left the car at my office. Paul Amoruso would be proud. Flight out on Delta .  We ate dinner at the In and Out burger at Fisherman's Wharf. Good burger and fries, especially if you're super hungry.  Walked up to the top of the sightseeing spot near the Fisherman's Wharf . Tam and I made it half way, the kids made it to the top and then walked down to meet us. Crazy. While we waited for the Ferry to take us to Alcatraz we played with the camera for a bit.
