Atlanta race is,3 Motor Speedway is a 1.54-mile race track in Hampton, Georgia, United States, 20 miles south of Atlanta. It has annually hosted NASCAR Cup Series stock car races since its inauguration in 1960. Martinsville Speedway Weekend I'll start out by confessing, I am not a big NASCAR fan. Growing up an hour outside of Daytona Florida, I was more into IMSA than NASCAR or Porsche's than Fords. A buddy of mine who is a HUGE NASCAR fan asked if I wanted to go in his rented Allegro motorhome so I jumped at the chance to see a race close up, and I mean really close up. We parked right at the fence and looked down on the track which was twenty feet from our bumper. The motorhome needed nothing more to keep us comfortable. If you are able, you should rent the space and motorhome and park it at the track. The sights and sounds of the cars racing around the track is hard to beat when you are sitting on top of the track looking down. We watched the crews setup and take down each night.
