The BDR is a motorcycle route that goes from Damascus Virginia to the New York State border. Some of the travel is on two laneroads, while other is on Forest Service gravel roads.
I started in Damascus which is a great little town the Appalachian trail goes through. You can see my bike on the right.
the Appalachian trail and the Mid-Atlantic BDR slowly meander back and forth through the country. I've met a couple guys that were hiking all the way non-stop.
This is a well photographed gap that is fun to go through.

This was taken off a dirt road. I stopped and took this photo and then a hiker appeared out of nowhere. She scared me pretty good.
First night camping. Hard to sleep when you don't have your favorite body pillow and covers.
