Greek Isle of Amorgos

Slightly off the beaten track, Amorgos lies about 20 miles southeast of Naxos and is accessible only by ferry. It does have two ports, though: Aegiali on the northwest coast and Katapola further south.

Amorgos is a great destination if you’re looking for a more authentic and traditional Greek experience. It provides a great contrast to more popular nearby islands such as Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, and Santorini.

The Big Blue was filmed here and the movie was about this ship that ran aground during a big storm
Monastery that was built into the side of a cliff.
Allison and Libby walked down for a swim on Anne Beach.
Sun is setting while we are walking around a fort.
Ancient windmills of Chora. Great place to watch the sun set. We had dinner and drinks in the small city. No cars only foot traffic in the city. Easy to get lost.
Rebbeca having a fantastic coffee on a side street.
Sailing from Amorgos at 10 knots. Weather check, seas check, drinks check.
