Headed Out To San Francisco, For A Labor Day Weekend Show

Heading out for nine days to check out the coolest city in the US. Somehow we blew through check-in by going to the TSA Pre check-in. We took MARTA down to the airport and left the car at my office. Paul Amoruso would be proud. Flight out on Delta .  We ate dinner at the In and Out burger at Fisherman's Wharf. Good burger and fries, especially if you're super hungry.  Walked up to the top of the sightseeing spot near the Fisherman's Wharf . Tam and I made it half way, the kids made it to the top and then walked down to meet us. Crazy. While we waited for the Ferry to take us to Alcatraz we played with the camera for a bit. Rob and I were cracking up trying to take this picture. Alcatraz on the port side.  The Fisherman's Wharf looking out to the Golden Gate Bridge . While we walked downtown I came across a fun shot of a hotel. All the rooms have bay windows. We surprised the kids and rented a Tesla Model X 90D . Gr

Babylon Sisters - Steely Dan in San Franscico

Well we stayed in San Francisco a few nights and checked out some great places to eat like The Original Joes and In & Out Burger. We made it to Alcatraz and toured around the buildings. When we headed out we went through the gift store and saw a guy, William Baker, that spent 50 years of his life in and out of jail. He spent 4 years locked up in Alcatraz. Old man that sat in his chair signing a book he wrote. Allison took this photo of Tam and I. We were holding eat other and trying to stay in the water for a few seconds. The water had to be 40 degrees and would take your breath away. I asked the cable car operator to smile. He did. What fun.  Kids held on to the side of the cable car all the up to the center of San Fran.

Trip to USS Yorktown

While in Charleston I highly recommend you tour the USS Yorktown. The Yorktown was the tenth aircraft carrier to serve the US. She started service on April 15, 1943 and was deep in WWII then switched to jet aircraft and then once again changed to become a anti-submarine aircraft carrier. She served during the Vietnam war from 1965 to 1968 and then picked up the Apollo 8 astronauts and capsule. The Yorktown was decommissioned in 1970. She now serves again as a tour stop for people who would like to see what it was like on a 27,000 ton ship. We watched a regatta from multiple colleges from the deck of the Yorktown. This ship was so big and the sailboats were so small. From the ship you can see the beautiful bridge in the distance.
