Düsseldorf Germany

On our second day of the cruise, we stopped in Düesseldorf, Germany 🇩🇪.

After a huge and amazing breakfast, we were off on our bike trip.

Our German guide Thor, showed us around the beautiful streets of Düesseldorf.

We were not the only ones in the streets trying to get to the largest beer hall in the world.
An interesting note about drinking beer here. You join people at a table and a guy in a blue outfit drops off a small beer. When finished with your beer he will drop off another beer and mark a line on your coaster. When you are finished drinking you cover your glass with your coaster. The guy comes by and adds up all the lines and that is how they track how many beers you drank.

This is a large art installation that depicts a large battle that took place when the town tried to replace their Bishop. The Bishop hired a large army to "calm" the town folks and one of the largest battles in the towns history started.

The mayor's home.

Oldest church.

Tonhalle Duesseldorf (concert hall)

A river that flows into and under some of the town which he town was named after.

Heavy industrial installations on the Rhine. A lot of coal being shipped by barge.

A fun couple 💑 on their 25th wedding anniversary.

We dined with Robin and Jeff during the cruise. Alex was our server and so helpful.

Fantastic anniversary! Did you drop LBs eating all those huge meals! LOL
Randy and I went over for our 10th and I was 4 months pregnant with Zachary. Unfortunately, I felt queasy a lot of the time and couldn't eat much.
